Nationals from 5 Countries May Now File for TPS Online

USCIS has announced that eligible nationals of Burma, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen, may now apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) online. Applicants should remember that when filing the initial TPS application the applicant should also request employment authorization.

Only nationals of the identified countries and certain, specific situations involving stateless individuals who resided in these countries during the qualifying period may apply online. All other TPS applicants must file paper-based applications. USCIS will deny applications from other nationals if filed online and the filing fees will be forfeited.
